After four decades of dedication to his craft, Larson's works are internationally
recognized. Reproductions of his pencil drawings and paintings literally span the
globe. His works grace the walls of private collectors in Ireland, Puerto Rico, and
from New York to California. Mr. Larson's internet gallery (www.krayel.com) receives
up to ten thousand visitors per week and he has recently accepted representation
in Italy. In addition, Krayel art works have been featured on the covers of numerous
magazines, music cd's, greeting cards and gallery walls.
The Saint Series is Mr. Larson's most ambitious collection to date. His interpretive
and sensual depictions of Catholic Saints have garnered their fair share of critical
acclaim as well as damnation. Although the artist himself has no Catholic ties, he
admits that the clergy and their following are some of his most avid collectors.
Reproductions of his Saints hang in churches, monasteries and can even be purchased
through one of Los Angeles' more notable community churches.
Mr. Larson's perfectionist attention to detail, realistic portraiture and unique
ability to convey emotion are signature characteristics of his work. Recent appraisals
of his Saint paintings determined the artist's work to be of "impeccable"
quality. Larson's latest works are a compelling union of contrasting styles that
demonstrate the artist's continued evolution and masterful touch.
